Kurt Cargle has spent most of his 29-year professional career in the “Coin Laundry and Dry Cleaning” sector. Mr. Cargle co-founded “Kurt D. Laundry-Mats” in 1983 with his father and mentor, controlling seven properties in the Chicago metropolitan region.
Mr. Cargle arranged the sale of all seven sites in the year 2000, generating a profit for himself and his investors. Mr. Cargle re-entered the sector in 2006 under the name “P.E.A.K. Enterprises,” doing business as “Neighborhood Laundry-Mat.” He presently serves as CEO of three “Coin Laundry Mats”, two “Dry Cleaners,” and an “On-Premises Laundry Facility” or “On-Premises Laundry Mat” while following the business trends he pioneered (OPL).
Mr. Cargle is allowed the exclusive right to install his coin-operated washing machines in the high-rise residential buildings of some of Chicago’s most esteemed real estate investors. In his career, Kurt Cargle has trained and hired fifty men and women. His businesses presently employ 25 full-time workers and independent contractors.
The University of South Dakota granted Mr. Cargle an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. Illinois Tech also granted Kurt Cargle an associate’s degree in “Electro-Mechanical Technology.”
